The Power of Giving: 2 Events that will be Remembered
This past December was a busy one for the team at Payne Wealth Partners as we stood by our passion for community through various holiday charity opportunities. Leading up to Christmas, we held two events that were a resounding success in accomplishing the sense of giving back to the community. Not only did the events give back, but the events also partnered with the local charity organizations and their supporters. Through the Evansville Rescue Mission’s Adopt-a-Family program and our Season of Giving 2013 Holiday Trivia, we feel grateful for the support from our clients, friends, and local charities in joining with us in our passion for serving the community.
1 – Evansville Rescue Mission’s Adopt-a-Family
Even in our first ever participation of the Evansville Rescue Mission’s Adopt-a-Family program, we were excited to work with our clients and friends to support families in need in our local area. During the program, 12 clients and friends helped our firm provide gifts/needs to 4 families which amounted to 10 children in total. With this help, we were not only able to provide the minimum number of items requested, but we were able to provide items not listed on each child’s wish list and even double most items needed! We received a warm note from the Evansville Rescue Mission thanking us for our participation in the program and for the passion we share with our clients.
2 – Season of Giving 2013 Holiday Trivia
When we first began looking into creating the Season of Giving 2013 Holiday Trivia Event and webpage, Taylor (in reference to last year) suggested that participation near 100 would be considered a great success. Much to our delight and with the fantastic help from our clients, friends, and local charities, we received over 400 participants in the 2013 Season of Giving Holiday Trivia. Through the trivia, four local charities won a donation in our drawing on December 24. The three local charities winning $1,000 each were Easter Seals, Habitat for Humanity and the ARK Crisis Child Care Center, while the Ronald McDonald House Charities was drawn twice to receive a $2,000 donation. Each winning charity had a significant percentage of submissions from the 400 total participants.
Throughout both events, we received many warm letters and emails thanking us for our holiday events. We’d like to take this time to thank YOU for your participation and willingness to make each a success. As we sought to accomplish our passion of partnering with the local community this past December, we could not have done it without you!
As one of our core values is community, we value sharing our resources, time and talents with our local community, and participating in these holiday charity events is one of the many ways we do. For more happenings from Payne Wealth Partners, like us on Facebook!
