Who will benefit from your items?
“Any pregnant woman or parent/guardian of a child 7 years of age or younger can earn Little Lambs vouchers redeemable for equipment and supplies at Little Lambs store. Vouchers are offered for pre-natel and well-baby check-ups, staying in school, attending rehab sessions as well as parenting and nutrition classes, and more. Numbers are increasing, but currently about 11,000 are distributed annually by 32 agencies in the area. There are no income limitations for those participating.”
Why Little Lambs?
“Little Lambs is a non-profit organization based in downtown Evansville that gives a ‘hands up’ to low income families — helping parents to meet their children’s most basic needs of diapers and safety supplies.”
“For 19 years, Little Lambs has worked to keep children healthy and safe by influencing parents. Here is how our unique organization works: We partner with more than 20 community organizations that offer services of benefit to families with young children: prenatal care, immunizations, parenting classes, GED/TASC preparation, nutrition education, speech and language development, homelessness prevention, drug rehabilitation and financial literacy.”
“Each time a parent completes a service from one of our partners, they receive a Little Lambs voucher. As valuable as cash, vouchers are redeemable in our store for safety equipment and supplies for infants and young children. These supplies are necessities for parents and include items such as diapers, wipes, car seats, cribs, safety gates, and play yards.”
“All funds and items collected through the baby shower will go directly to our clients. Our quiet organization makes a big impact on the Evansville community. Last year, more than 13,000 Little Lambs vouchers were redeemed in our store representing 13,000 ‘positive parenting acts.”
