Casual for a Cause
Payne Wealth Partners happily participates in Casual for a Cause as the program reflects our commitment to community perfectly. Team members choose a charity to support each quarter to which they make a personal monetary donation and then dress casual on Friday. As a company, Payne Wealth Partners also provides a monetary donation to the charity of choice. One of our core values is community. We value sharing our resources, time and talents with our local community, and Casual for a Cause participation is one of many ways we do so.

Help Eliminate Poverty in Evansville
“Within a week’s time I lost my job with benefits, our car motor blew up, the lawn mower blew up and we found out we were having a little bundle of joy. When I started to look for help on the baby items we would need I found the Evansville Christian Life Center (Parenting Rewards).
It wasn’t easy and still isn’t but after 3 ½ years I’m getting to stay home with my daughter, work and help pay the bills. I will always be grateful for all their help and support.” – Jaleigh
What do you dream about?
While there are as many different answers to this question as there are people, something we dream about at the Evansville Christian Life Center is eliminating poverty in Evansville. It’s a huge goal, but stories like Jaleigh’s remind us that change is possible.
A recent report from the Indiana Institute for Working Families said almost 50% of Indiana children are officially “low income” (view the full report at www.incap.org). Poverty is a very serious issue in the tri-state area and we must address it with generosity, intensity and intelligence. To truly make a shift in our community, we need to move beyond handouts to long-term thinking and action on core issues surrounding poverty.
The ECLC is working to address these needs with a long-term focus on the whole person by offering a spectrum of care including an emergency food pantry, life skills classes, pregnancy care services, the innovative Circles® initiative, 30 Days Of Poverty community-wide campaign and more. We believe offering long-term care that equips people to move towards self-sufficiency will result in long-term change in that person, their family and ultimately their community.
If this dream excites you too, we’d love to connect with you. There are many opportunities to get involved. Learn more at www.restoringpeople.com , visit our Facebook page or contact me, Gina Gibson, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
