Financial Knowledge to Pass to Your Children
Are you one of those parents who say to their children, “The world just isn’t like it used to be”, and then proceeded to share with them how it was back in the “good ol’ days”? The sad and unfortunate truth is that you are correct when saying this. Our world and especially the financial world is not the same as it once was.
With the advancements of today’s technology, the younger generation has the ability to immediately access knowledge. However, what we’re finding is that generations who are rising into today’s work force are not up to speed in financial competency and literacy even with knowledge being so accessible. Some would argue that it’s the school systems responsibility to facilitate financial knowledge for our youth, the schools are not the only ones we should be looking toward to provide financial guidance.
Now more than ever, in today’s market, there is little-to-no room for financial error. As a result, your child could be risking a solid future by partaking in irresponsible lending or reckless investing. The goal as parents is to prepare our children so they can live a happy and successful life, right? One important part of that process is sharing your financial knowledge. The learning curve in the financial world can be a brutal one, but one that can be braced with a little insight from someone who has been there before. This is where YOU come in.
As schooling is designed to educate and further progress learning for young adults, we all know that real world experience is the most effective way of learning. Not all students in college are majoring in finance and many of them are in for a “real life” awakening when they receive their first “big” paycheck.
Share your financial knowledge and help your children start out on the right path.
The Payne Wealth Partners professional team is dedicated to sharing knowledge of the financial world while providing proper guidance that is aligned with the overall values of family.
