We happily participate in Casual for a Cause every Friday throughout the year. This program wonderfully reflects our commitment to the community. Each quarter, one team member chooses a charity to support, to which all team members then make a personal monetary donation and dress casually on Fridays. As a company, Payne Wealth Partners also provides a monetary donation to the charity of choice. We value sharing our resources, time, and talents with our local community, and Casual for a Cause participation is one of many ways we do so.
2015 Third Quarter Casual for a Cause Recipient – Community Marriage Builders
Community Marriage Builders (CMB) is a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to educating and equipping the community for lifetime marriages. CMB was founded in 1998 after a United Way Needs Assessment revealed that the number one problem facing our community was the breakdown of the traditional two-parent family.
Since then CMB has been standing in the gap for families by providing the expertise and solutions to combat this epidemic so that local families, relationships, neighborhoods, and communities can prosper.
Workshops for Singles – The workshop “How to Avoid Falling for a Jerk or Jerkette” equips singles with the knowledge and tools to make the right choices before they get into a relationship.
Marriage Preparation – Engaged or Seriously Dating couples are given a “FOCCUS” relationship inventory that shows them where they agree or disagree on a wide variety of topics. They are also given tools to equip them for a lifetime marriage through the “Make It Last” workshop.
Marriage Enrichment – Married couples that are looking to improve their relationship and reconnect, can take a workshop or weekend that gives them practical steps to take in order to foster stronger communication and deepen intimacy. They can also participate in the “Dating My Spouse Program” that helps couples set a regular date night each month by offering buy-one get-one free discounts at local restaurants and businesses.
Help for Struggling Couples – Couples in distress can get the tools they need to communicate clearly, resolve conflict amicably, manage anger safely, and show love appropriately with a “Revive” workshop.
Data shows that individuals that participate in CMB programs cut their chances of divorce in half when compared to those that have not participated. Since the establishment of CMB the divorce rate in Vanderburgh county has steadily dropped every year while the marriage rate has increased. Every dollar that is invested in CMB has a lifetime return on investment of over $13.00.
